How to Skip Count

  • By twos: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10...
  • By fives: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25...
  • By tens: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50...

Why Skip Counting?

Skip counting helps with counting coins, telling time, and grouping objects.

Fun Ways to Practice

You can clap, jump, or use a number chart to practice skip counting!

Examples

  • Counting pairs of shoes by twos.

  • Finding out how many fingers are on 3 hands by counting fives (5, 10, 15).
