Study Strategies

Making Observations

Look, Listen, and Learn

Observing means using your senses to learn about the world. Take your time to look closely, listen carefully, and notice details. Writing or drawing what you see helps you remember and share your discoveries.

Ways to Observe

  • Look at colors, shapes, and movements
  • Listen for sounds in nature
  • Touch objects to feel if they are soft or hard

Examples

  • Drawing a picture of a butterfly you saw

  • Noticing that puddles dry up after the sun comes out
