Breaking Down Big Questions

When you face a tough science problem, break it into smaller parts. Ask yourself what you know, what you need to find out, and what tools or formulas you can use. This makes even the trickiest questions easier to tackle.

Examples

  • Dividing a question about Earth's rotation into steps: what rotates, how long, and effects.

  • Solving a forces question by identifying each force and its direction.
