Make the Most of Your Testing Time

Managing your time is key to success on the STAAR EOC Reading exam. Make a plan for how long to spend on each passage and set mini-deadlines for yourself.

  • Skim the questions before reading the passage.
  • Don’t get stuck on one tricky question—move on and come back if you have time.
  • Keep an eye on the clock so you finish with time to review your answers.
