Time management is crucial in the TACHS Reading section. You need to read passages, answer questions, and check your work—all in a limited time!

Strategies

  • Skim first: Get a sense of the passage before reading closely.
  • Pace yourself: Don’t spend too long on one question. Move on and come back if needed.
  • Mark tricky questions: Skip hard ones and return to them if you have time.
  • Quick checks: Leave a couple of minutes at the end to review your answers.
