A comprehensive course covering essential 8th grade math concepts to prepare students for high school and real-world problem solving.
The Pythagorean Theorem connects the sides of a right triangle. If a triangle has a right angle (90°), then:
\[ a^2 + b^2 = c^2 \] Where \( a \) and \( b \) are the legs and \( c \) is the hypotenuse.
Builders use it to find the length of ladders, or to check if corners are square.
This theorem works only on right triangles!
\[a^2 + b^2 = c^2\]
If legs are 3 and 4, hypotenuse is 5.
A ramp with height 6 ft and base 8 ft has length 10 ft.
The Pythagorean Theorem finds missing sides of right triangles.
