Percentages

What Are Percentages?

"Percent" means "per hundred." A percentage shows how many parts out of 100 something is.

  • Example: 75% means 75 out of 100.

Turning Percentages into Decimals and Fractions

  • To turn a percent into a decimal, divide by 100. (Example: \( 60% = 0.6 \))
