Time Management on the Verbal Section

Making Every Minute Count

The SSAT verbal section is timed, so it’s important to keep track of your pace. Don’t spend too long on any one question. If you’re stuck, move on and come back if you have time.

  • Skim difficult questions first and mark them for review.
  • Aim to spend about 30 seconds per question.
  • Keep an eye on the clock, but don’t rush so much that you make careless mistakes.
