Comparing and Converting

Fractions, decimals, and percents all represent parts of a whole, but in different ways. It's super helpful to know how to convert between them!

  • Fraction to Decimal: Divide the top number (numerator) by the bottom number (denominator).
  • Decimal to Percent: Move the decimal point two places to the right, then add a percent sign.
  • Percent to Fraction: Write the percent over 100 and simplify.

You can add, subtract, multiply, and divide these forms once you know how to convert them. Always remember to find common denominators for adding or subtracting fractions.
